FOUR SEASONS IN JAVA RELEASES OFFICIAL FIRST LOOK FOLLOWING COMPLETION OF COLOR GRADING IN AMSTERDAM

Jakarta / Amsterdam, 2026 --  Forka Films has released the official first look of Four Seasons In Java, the latest film by director Kamila Andini, marking the completion of one of the final stages of production: color grading at Storm Post Production Studio, Amsterdam. The color grading stage is a crucial process in shaping a film’s visual tone and emotional atmosphere. For Four Seasons In Java, this process was entrusted to internationally acclaimed colorist Peter Bernaers, known for his work on What Happened to Monday, Raw, Mandy, Annette, and Bergman Island. Bernaers is also the colorist behind Titane by Julie Ducournau, which won the prestigious Palme d’Or at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, as well as Annette by Leos Carax, which opened the festival’s main competition that same year. Bernaers’ involvement reflects Forka Films’ commitment to delivering world-class cinematic standards, while further strengthening the visual quality and cinematic experience that define  Kamila Andini’s body of work. Four Seasons In Java has undergone development through more than six international project markets, including Berlinale Co-Production Market, CineMart Rotterdam, Venice Gap-Financing Market, and Tokyo Gap Financing Market. The film has also received support from seven global funding bodies, including: Hubert Bals Fund, CNC Cinema du Monde, Sørfond, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, and Vision Sud Est, highlighting its strong  position within the international film ecosystem. Four Seasons in Java is an international co-production between Indonesia, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, and Poland. The film stars Putri Marino, Arya Saloka, and Christine Hakim, and is produced by Ifa Isfansyah (Forka Films) alongside Anthony Chen (Giraffe Pictures, Singapore). Four Seasons in Java is scheduled for theatrical release in Indonesia in 2026.
